Drive Wheel Advantage
First of all, it can reduce the cost of the car, which is why many car manufacturers today use this drive system. Front-wheel drive is much cheaper to manufacture and install than rear-wheel drive. It does not pass through the drive shaft under the cockpit, nor does it make the rear axle housing. The transmission and differential are assembled in a single housing, which requires fewer components. This front-wheel drive system also allows designers to more easily install other components on the bottom of the car, such as the brake system, fuel supply system and exhaust system.
